AniForte® Slippery Elm Bark Powder is gently dried and ground. It consists of 100% American elm bark and is therefore free of artificial additives. Before administration, the powder is mixed with water and boiled to create a syrup.

AniForte® Slippery Elm Bark Powder can help improve the well-being of your pet, especially if it suffers from digestive problems or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract.

The syrup forms a layer on the stomach and intestinal wall, helping to harmonize the gastrointestinal tract.

In cats, it can stimulate mucus production, making it easier for swallowed hairballs to pass through the intestines.

The syrup should only be given in acute cases (diarrhea, inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract) and not as a permanent treatment. The syrup created by boiling settles on the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestinal wall, reducing nutrient absorption with prolonged use.

Feeding Recommendation:

Stir 4 g of powder (1 measuring spoon equals 1 g) with approx. 250 ml of cold water in a steel pot. After a brief boil, remove the pot from the heat and stir until the powder has completely dissolved. Let the elm bark syrup cool down before you feed it.

Give the elm bark syrup as warm as possilbe and 30 minutes before the normal feeding. Do not mix the elm bark syrup with food, because the strong formation of mucus can prevent the absorption of nutrients.

Dogs up to 10 kg: 5 ml twice a day
Dogs over 10 kg: 10 ml twice a day
Cats: 5 ml twice a day

Tip: If your animal does not like to eat the syrup, you can boil the elm bark powder in homemade chicken broth instead of water.

Storage:

cool, dry, and protected from light
