Complementary feed for dogs and cats Green-lipped mussel meat (Perna canaliculus) can be helpful for the stabilisation and regeneration of connective tissue structures (cartilage, joint capsules, ligaments and tendons). It can be used as prophylaxis for growing animals, older animals with heavily stressed and affected joints as well as healthy animals. Mussel meat contains a high proportion of glycosaminoglycans, unsaturated fatty acids (including omega-3 and omega-6), trace elements and minerals.
