The complete menu chicken with vegetables consists largely of chicken meat and chicken bones, supplemented with fresh vegetables, egg and valuable minerals and vitamins. Chicken separator meat is chicken meat that is left on the bone after individual pieces of meat have been cut off by hand and removed from the bone by machine. This is also used in the production of food for humans. The chicken back is used as a source of calcium. Vegetables and plant fiber provide valuable nutrients and fiber for optimal nutrition and digestion. With the help of a small addition of vitamins and minerals, a constant supply of nutrients can be ensured.
The "Finest from Finland" product line is characterized by the high quality of the raw materials used and a production process that meets the highest standards. The use of unnecessarily high quantities of antibiotics and other medicines is avoided as a matter of principle. The risk of microbial contamination is reduced to a minimum through regular checks and appropriate hygiene measures and processes.
The majority of raw materials come directly from Finland. However, due to raw material shortages, meat from other European sources may also be processed.

The nutritional information is subject to natural variations and depending on the availability of raw materials, the form of presentation may vary.
For a balanced raw diet for adult and healthy dogs, we recommend a diet consisting of 70 - 80% animal-based and 20 - 30% plant-based components.
The animal-based portion should consist of 50 to 60% muscle meat, 20% tripe and rumen, 10 to 15% organ meat, and 10 to 15% raw meaty bones (RMB).
The plant-based portion should ideally consist of 70 to 75% vegetables and 25 to 30% fruit.
In addition, supplements such as salmon oil or omega-3-6-9 oil and seaweed meal should be added to the bowl.

- Up to 6 months of age: 6% of current body weight
- 7-9 months of age: 5% of current body weight
- 10-12 months of age: 3-4% of current body weight
- From 12 months of age: 2-2.5% of current body weight
It is always important to consider the breed-specific characteristics and the activity level of the animal in addition to age and weight when determining the feeding amount.
As a guideline for the amount of food for normally active, unneutered healthy dogs (regardless of gender), we recommend per day:
Puppies, young dogs, and lactating females: approx. 4-6% of current body weight (*see note below)
Adult dogs: approx. 2% of body weight
Smaller breeds (up to approx. 15 kg): approx. 1.5% of body weight.
We believe that the daily requirements of an animal may vary due to individual life situations such as pregnancy or age, so the amount of food per day must be adjusted individually. For example, lactating females may need up to three times the amount, depending on the number of puppies. Therefore, a varied diet is always recommended. BARF Komfort PLUS Pferd is the ideal component for a species-appropriate diet for dogs.
To add variety, occasionally add an egg yolk, cottage cheese, low-fat quark, seasonal vegetables and herbs, or a different type of meat (also unsupplemented).
Special feed additives such as green-lipped mussel extract, which can be beneficial for joint health, can be added without hesitation.
*Since puppies, young dogs, and lactating females have an increased calcium requirement, calcium should be additionally supplied in a feeding without bones. We recommend our specially tailored puppy supplement for this purpose.
After opening, store in the refrigerator and consume within a maximum of 3 days, keep closed and store at -18°C.
- Thaw gently in the refrigerator overnight
- If possible, take it out of the packaging and put it in a food-safe container (glass or porcelain)
- Slightly covered or uncovered (BARF should never be thawed in an airtight container)
- Use any drippings that may have accumulated during thawing
This item is frozen and sold in a block.
